Earlier this week I was fortunate enough to be part of a great
PINHOLE photography workshop at
the creative center at university settlement, which is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing the creative arts to people with cancer, chronic illnesses, and through all stages of life. as an artist/photographer, care taker and "cancer leftover" I totally support the mission of this organization and it was only a plus that they offered a workshop by John Blalock, an artist in residency at the Seattle Children's hospital, which taught us how to build and use a simple pinhole camera (
instructions shall follow soon so stay tuned!)
and for those that didn't know - in 2008 my husband was diagnosed with
acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) and we decided to document
his bone marrow transplant and put it together into
a book Transplant: The fight against Leukemia (more info at www.transplant-ed.com)
together we can make a difference - with one click at a time!
