The week stared off with a
Concert in the Central Park by the
New York Philharmonic conducted by
Alan Gilbert with
Carter Brey on Cello playing
Cello Concerto by Dvořák and
Symphony No.5 by Tchaikovsky. Every summer crowds gather on the lawns (
as you can see on the picture below) in Central Park to listen to classical tunes played by the orchestra as they enjoy yet another summer in the city. This years picnic was a pre-birthday celebration for a dear friend of mine and today we shall sing in her honor
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARION for another year of health, success and all the fun under the sun! The music played into the night with a firework display at the end of the show to remind us that we live in the greatest city in the world that can provide you with a mini escape from your daily routine on a Monday night ...
ONLY IN NEW YORK!!!
